Privacy Policy
This page is required by our ad network and payment processors. We have kept it as short and concrete as possible.
1. Who we are
Controller: IPStar Tools (contact: hello@ipstar.net). Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; API endpoints run on Cloudflare Workers.
2. What we process and why
- Query inputs (IP addresses / proxy endpoints you submit): used exclusively to build the response for that request. Results are cached in Cloudflare Workers KV for 12–24 hours keyed by the queried IP (not your IP) to protect upstream API quotas.
- Visitor IP: used only for per-client rate limiting inside the Worker. We do not log it to disk and do not join it with any other identifier. It is discarded after the rate-limit window expires.
- Contact form submissions: stored only in the email inbox we use to reply. We delete outreach pitches after 30 days; legitimate inquiries and legal requests for 12 months.
3. Cookies
We set no first-party tracking cookies. The only cookie-like state is:
- Cloudflare's own security cookies (their privacy applies).
- Ad partners may set third-party cookies on your browser. You can opt out via your browser settings or the ad networks' own tools.
4. Third parties
Our API Worker calls two upstream data providers with the queried IP:
- ipapi.is — geolocation and basic reputation
- AbuseIPDB — abuse reports and blacklist categorization
Proxy tests are executed via overseas VPS providers. No visitor PII other than the proxy endpoint you typed is sent to those probes.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Email hello@ipstar.net with subject line "Data request" and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Children
We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
7. Changes to this policy
We update this page when processing practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top is authoritative.
