Static ISP proxies for marketplace seller accounts
You don't need 10,000 rotating IPs. For a real seller account you want one clean, stable, long-stay IP that looks like a normal home broadband connection. This is how you pick it.
1. What "Static ISP" actually means (and why it matters)
A static ISP proxy is a single, non-rotating IP whose WHOIS owner is a real residential ISP (Comcast, AT&T, Virgin, etc.), not a hosting company like DigitalOcean or OVH. The difference matters because marketplaces score hosting ASNs very high on the suspicion meter.
2. When you should (and should not) use one
- Use it when: logging into 1–2 seller accounts per IP (Amazon, Shopify Payments, Mercado, Etsy, TikTok Shop seller panel).
- Do NOT use it when: scraping 1000+ URLs, testing ads at scale, or anything that will burn the IP. ISP static IPs are 10–100× more expensive per GB than rotating residential pools.
3. The 4 checks before you bind your account
- ASN / ISP check. Look up the IP on IP Geo. If ASN org contains "Hosting", "Cloud", "Server", walk away — it's a mislabeled datacenter.
- Reputation check. Run through IP Reputation. We personally require ≥85 for seller logins. Any blacklist listing = reject.
- Static & sticky. Reboot the proxy endpoint via the provider dashboard 3 times. Exit IP must not change.
- 72-hour soak. Route only light, normal-looking browsing (no logins) through the IP for 3 days. Re-run reputation check at 24h and 72h. If score drops 15+ points, the IP is on a reused / bad subnet and the provider has poor hygiene.
4. Pricing sanity check
Legit static ISP proxies usually sell per-IP-per-month. Expect $2.50 – $8 / IP / month depending on country volume. Anything below $1 is almost always datacenter-in-disguise. Above $15 is usually branded "Amazon dedicated" for 2× the actual value.
5. Operation habits that make your IP "stick"
- 1 account per IP. Never rotate between accounts.
- Keep logins between the same 2–4 hour window every day, same fingerprint profile (browser, resolution, languages).
- Do NOT share the same static ISP with scraping / ad-testing traffic. Segregate traffic types on completely separate IPs.
